“Once I receive the dress I will have better feedback, but I think this site works awesome as long as both parties are willing to talk to one another. Personally I purchased a dress from someone WAY too far away to try on so I have no comments on that, but the buying online portion is good. I think one thing that would be helpful if placing a “calculate duties” section on the site. I ended up looking it up after worrying over and over about the fees I would receive but the trade agreement between Australia and USA seems to say that purchasing clothing (even a wedding dress) will result in $0 duties. That would be a great peace of mind to a lot of buyers!”

About the Dress

Worn once for my wedding and professionally dry cleaned straight after. It's like new again! It has been stored carefully hanging up in its bag since dry cleaning.

For those who know the Katie May sizing, this dress is:
Bust: Medium
Waist: Large
Hips: Extra Large

I am 165.5cm (5'4") tall, and wore a 7cm (3inch) heel.
I am normally a size AU8 on top and AU9 on bottom. Would fit a size 8-10.

I found the Katie May sizing to be very small which is why I purchased my dress in the sizing above. This is a rare find, as I haven't seen any second-hand Lanai dresses selling in sizes above medium! Great for those with a slightly curvier bottom, or who are worried about buying a too-small dress (as there is more room to have taken in). It only has the slightest wear inside the lining at the train of the dress, and at the unsealed lace edges of hem. These will not be noticeable at all though.

The dress has been professionally altered. Taken in slightly at hips and waist, bustle added, soft bra cups added, and hemmed.

Purchased from The Bridal Atelier in Double Bay. I have been told that they are no longer selling this dress there now.

I would ideally like to sell in person so the new bride can try on, know it fits and is happy! But also happy to post anywhere.

I absolutely loved wearing this gorgeous dress, and felt like a million bucks on my wedding day! My husband and guests were blown away by this stunning dress, and it was perfect for my outdoor wedding in the Hunter Valley. Extremely comfortable, flattering, light and easy to move and dance in. The champagne colour is perfect for anyone who feels the usual white or ivory don't quite suit them.

I wore a cathedral length (99inch) mantilla veil with this dress (paid $109USD). It is ivory with lace scalloping (which is remarkably similar to the lace of the dress!) around the edge. Happy to throw this in free of charge if you purchase the dress.
