About the Dress

I honestly didn't think I could love a dress this much and I'm so pleased I chose to wear the Alexandra dress (I'm pleased to say my Husband was very impressed too!).

After searching many wedding dress shops, I began to feel that wedding dresses just didn't suit me - until I found Grace Loves Lace and I knew this was the one. It was so different to the dresses I'd tried; it was comfortable (the stretch French lace is amazing!) and it matched the relaxed style of wedding I'd dreamed of.

I'm 5ft1 and wore 9cm heels. I'm between a size 8 and 10 (UK).

Whilst the dress is made with stretch lace (making it flexible for sizing) the dress is made to my measurements which are;
Bust - Small (10)
Waist - Small (10)
Hips - X-Small (8)


I've hand washed the dress (as advised by GLL) and it looks as good as new!

The Alexandra is for the woman who is a natural showstopper – she wants to look striking and feminine, sophisticated and effortless. Made for the iconic GLL woman – she has soul, passion, confidence and substance.

The Alexandra gown is all about the beautifully balanced silhouette, which highlights the female shape in an elegant and subtle way. Handmade from soft, stretch French lace and hand cut lace motifs appliqúed on every edge. Beginning with a flattering high neck with a plunging V-neck lining and built in cups, the Alexandra has a daringly low, yet wearable open back, which is secured with a single satin button at the neckline. We love the dramatic fishtail skirt, which has a centre front opening and large back godet, with a stunning 120cm train. A concealed finger loop is featured and the 120cm train length also provides a bustle to keep you moving and dancing all night.
