I am around a size 14 and bought this dress in a size 16 (as recommended). This really hid my tummy and big hips and made my waist look so slim and hid all my lumps and bumps! (I’m a sort of pear shaped) I’m not very big busted but the style of the straps gave me a great lift without the need to wear a bra at all so was extremely comfortable.

Such a beautiful and very comfortable dress to wear. I wore mine with flat shoes (mainly because I didn’t want to be taller than my husband!) and didn’t wear a hoop but I’m aware a hoop can be worn with it if you want it to look more like a ball gown.
