Alterations

  • The straps were taken up a bit, and the sides underneath my arms were taken in a minuscule amount in order for it to lay flat
  • The dress was shortened to accommodate my 5'5 self with 3.25 heels
  • I also changed out the clasp in the back from silver to white so it blends

About the Dress

This dress is part of the Rose+Williams 2019 collection. It was the most flattering dress I tried on. While it is simple, it just has a wow-factor that elicited the "gasps" from friends and family. The top is fitted with two stays that run down the front, and two on the back. It has pockets! The skirt itself does not have any tulle or thicker under-layers, so while I would describe it as "A-Line"...it lays pretty straight while standing still, but has beautiful movement. It has a short train, and a beautiful 7-point bustle that has a waterfall look. The fabric is thicker satin but does not have the sheen. Because it doesn't have any unde-rlayers, I was not hot, and I got married in Mexico! It truly fits any venue, any theme...it is timeless and modern at the same time.
