Feel like an ethereal princess on your wedding day with this gorgeous Gwendolynne designer ‘Deco’ gown.

The designer:

Award winning designer Gwendolynne Burkin has established herself as one of Australia’s fashion purists. She works with intuition, avoids fashion trends, and remains true to her own sense of style and obsession with creating beautiful unique, vintage style designs. Combining delicate fabric with antique-style trimmings, Gwendolynne's pieces are ladylike without appearing over the top - the styling is elegant, sensual and romantic.

The gown:

The gown is a sand beige colour, suiting the vintage style. The material is silk satin with poly tulle falling from the bodice, and comprises intricate handmade beading throughout the bodice, shoulders and back.

Other features include beautiful capped sleeves, a vintage clasp at the neck, and a row of buttons down the back. There are in-build bra cups and a train that can be hooked up when it’s time to dance.

I have pale skin and brown hair and it suited my colouring well – however, I have also seen photos of darker skinned and blonde girls in this gown and it also looked lovely.

I felt absolutely amazing on my big day - and had many guests comment that it was the most uniquely gorgeous wedding dress they had ever seen.

Measurements:

I’m 163 cm tall and wore 4cm heels - the hem of the dress just skimmed the ground. I am an Australian size 8 and wear a 10B bra.

Price and condition:

I paid $ 4,200 for the gown, which is in excellent condition as it has only been worn once for an indoor night-time wedding.

It has also been professionally dry cleaned and boxed by Ferrari Drycleaners (as recommended by Gwendolynne at a cost of $ 395). The original Gwendolynne dress bag will also be provided.
