Maggie Sottero, Juliette

I love this dress; had so much fun in it and so sad to part with it! But I sadly have no room to store it.

This Maggie Sottero dress has similarities to the Vera Wang Diana- however I found the higher waistline was more flattering on a petite figure.

The dress is in excellent condition, worn on 27th of January 2013. Purchased from Abby Bridal, Sydney.

Alterations ($500) were done by the excellent seamstress at Abby Bridal. I chose to simplify the neckline to compliment the full skirt. The length of the dress was expertly lifted & ruched up into the skirt, and as such was not cut in any way. It may be possible to let this back down- please contact Abby Bridal for recommendation.

I wore the dress without the sash. I am a bit of a perfectionist and worked with the seamstress to have the waistline expertly detailed so that the folds fell perfectly both in the waist and in the skirt.

The dress comes with an ivory sash- an alternate colour sash could be purchased from Abby Bridal. Or a diamonte belt.

The train can be beautifully picked up at the back for later in the reception.

The skirt has gorgeous layers of tulle underneath. There is the option to wear it with different levels of hoop skirts underneath to change the silhouette slightly. I preferred it with a soft under-tulle with no hoop and to let the skirt fall.

The dress is a size 4 - and can fit from a size 6 to 10. It has a lace up back.

I am 152cm and wore it with 15 cm heels.

There are no stains on the dress and the dress bas been professionally dry cleaned by the highly recommended Jeeves, Lindfield.
