This is an elegant and timeless dress, with a flattering v-neck that shows off collar bones/decolletage/shoulder lines in just the right way. It has a full lace back with button detailing, a matching lace cutout in the train, and a high waistline that creates a nice elongating effect. I picked this up (along with another dress) at a BHLDN sample sale in NYC a few months ago, and ended up going with the other gown - but it was a very hard choice. The gown is unaltered and in need of a dry cleaning to brighten it up, and there is one button that also needs to be tightened up (which is visible in the picture with the tag still attached).
I am 5'9" 140lbs, and a street size 4 (occasionally 6) and found this to be true to size (love that about BHLDN gowns!!) though there was definitely some extra room in the hips for me that I would have needed to deal with had I chosen this one. I am happy to send any more close-up photos you might need. I hope someone can give this dress a happy ending, as it is truly lovely!
