About the Dress

I am selling my Johanna Johnson “The Washington” gown and veil, purchased from the Johanna Johnson flagship store in Paddington NSW. The Washington gown (retail $6,990). The dress was worn at my wedding in March 2015. The collection was inspired by New York City architecture – described as vintage glamour.

The dress is made from vintage ivory paneled French silk. The dress is a strapless sweetheart style, with cups in the bodice and silk buttons and zip at the back. The bodice fits snuggly; the dress hugs the hips and then falls beautifully to the ground with a train. The dress comes with a finger loop and a hook and eye to lift the train after the ceremony.

Please note the Zephyr Belt included in some pictures is not for sale.

I am 165cm (without heels) so the dress is quite long and can be taken up. The dress is an AU size 10/12 (Bodice: sz8) Skirt: Sz10 (low hips to sz12) I am an Aust 10 or 12 (depending on brand/fit), and I am confident it would fit either Aust 10 or 12. The low hips were taken out slightly to ensure the perfect fit. Johanna Johnson’s seamstress did all alterations.

The dress comes in the dry cleaning box padded with tissue paper with cotton gloves to avoid any transfer from hands to fabric. The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned by Johanna Johnsons recommended dry cleaner.

The dress is absolutely beautiful and was a dream to wear; I received so many compliments on the dress. You will feel like a vintage goddess on your special day if you choose this dress. The workmanship, fabric and details in this dress were second to none. You will really feel like a beautiful bride in this dress.
