Finally i've got round to doing the last thing on my my 'post-wedding' job list...and that is to sell my wonderful dress! It's a tough decision to make but I know I will never wear it again, my girls have already been christened (tradition is to cut it up and make into baptism dresses etc) and i'd really like someone else to have the joy of wearing it for their special day. SO, if you are interested, or you know of a friend who is, here are some pics and information. I got married in August 2014 and the dress suited my vintage/rustic themed wedding on a farm perfectly!
It is made by Lusan Mandongas and it's code is LM2417B, it was originally a size 12 but I had it altered quite a bit by a seamstress who did a brilliant job and took it in ( I now feel it is a size 10-and other girls who are size 10 have tried it on and it has fitted them ) to make it fit perfectly ( I didn't even need to wear a bra with it). I'm a size 8/10 up top and large 10 -12 on the bottom. I am 5'6 and wore 3 inch heels BUT also ended up wearing it with wellies and it was fine, no trips!!
It has a beautiful vintage lace style, two layers of tulle on the skirt with a satin under skirt, a gorgeous open back, the whole dress is extremely unique, I hunted it down for a year and even then i had to travel across the country to finally find it!! It has also been dry cleaned.
It was purchased for £1500 ( was more expensive in some boutiques) and so I would love to get £800 o.n.o back for it.
It is very lightweight and has a long train (it had 3 handles sewn into it for me too!)
I felt like a million dollars in it.
