Alterations

  • The dress has been altered in length (I am 172cm with my wedding shoes on) and it now fits perfectly
  • I had the front mesh panel laced up from my waist to just above my bust to make the dress feel even more conservative
  • The lace itself perfectly matches the existing style of lace on the dress
  • I also added a bit of extra lace to the sleeves in which they were taken further underneath the armpit area to cover an area of my arms I'm insecure about
  • I was extremely happy with all alterations carried out and paid an additional £300 for all of the above

About the Dress

The moment I put this dress on I instantly knew it was the one! I felt beautifully elegant and the length and detail of the train absolutely blew me away - it almost makes you feel like royalty and was definitely the selling point for me! I'm quite conservative in the way I dress so the high neck and high laced back suited my style perfectly.

Sadly, after 3 postponed wedding dates due to the Covid 19 pandemic, my partner and I separated before we reached our wedding day so other than 2x fittings and to take these photos, the dress has not been worn.

The dress has been stored hanging in 2x protective dress bags completely zipped up since purchase so there are no flaws in the material whatsoever. As you will see towards the bottom of the dress, it will require a steam to remove any creasing that's been caused during storage. All buttons are perfectly in tact however the dress does come with additional buttons should you need them.

The dress is a US size 6 (which is approximately a UK size 8), and as I am between a UK size 8 - 10 normally, the dress does feel slightly on the tighter side for me so I would definitely say this is better suited to a UK size 8. My seamstress confirmed that due to the style of dress it is, it's supposed to mold to your body shape so is bound to feel tighter than normal everyday clothes. Certainly not uncomfortable, but worth noting the sizing due to the fitted style of dress that it is.
