Mermaid

This is a custom couture bridal gown made by Perth designer, Brendan Vale for my wedding held in April, 2011.

The dress features a double layer white, panelled silk skirt inspired by Inbal Dror with flattering, figure hugging panels and curves throughout the stitching. The skirt features a slight train which billows gracefully as you walk down the aisle, but does not get in the way of your feet. The skirt does not require a slip to be worn underneath as it is not see through (I wore a nude g string only.)

The bodice of the dress is created from ivory net with built in cups (with padding) and a nude coloured modesty panel around the breasts. The bodice has been decorated with hand cut, hand sewn vintage lace and features a low V back and delicate cap sleeves with a V neck. The bodice features translucent sections of skin baring flattering glamor and really adds to that vintage, hollywood feel. You will not feel frumpy in this gown but sleek, sexy and expensive.

There is a gorgeous V dip detail on the back and front waist of this dress which elongates the body and makes you appear long and lean.

There is a side invisible zip closure and hook and eye.

This dress has been designed with Inbal Dror and Berta Bridal in mind, without the excessive price tag.
I have never felt more beautiful in my life wearing this dress, nor have I ever received more compliments. This is a true couture piece which I would love to see on another bride.

I am a size 6-8 AUS with a 10B-C bust. I am 5'5 without shoes, and I wore a HUGE pair of platforms with this dress, so I feel the hem length would allow a taller girl to wear it with less ridiculous shoes!

I paid my designer upwards of $3,300 for this beautiful gown, and so many hours of love and attention have gone into it. I live in the US now and I would love to see an Aussie girl take this gown home.

After my wedding I had the dress dry cleaned; there are some small white water marks on the very base of the skirt due to our photography session being hampered by some bad weather, however theses are hardly noticeable. I have taken these defects into account with the price and am uploading photos of these marks shortly. They do not detract from the dress in the slightest.

The dress is currently hanging in my parents house in Hillarys, Perth and is available to try on during the week or weekend. Bring a friend and some family and try it on without any pesky salespeople. I am willing to discuss price as I do live overseas, and would love to see the dress being worn, instead of hanging in my parents closet!
