About the Dress

This dress was described to me by Karen herself as a "comfortable t-shirt dress" and she was absolutely correct.

This is a size 16 Karen Willis Holmes 'Alexandra' gown purchased for my wedding in June this year. There have been no alterations made to the size/length of this dress - so it is exactly how you would purchase it off the rack. I purchased this dress when I was a size 18 (photo provided - brunette) and wore it on my wedding day as a small 14, so I would recommend this for sizes in between 14 - 18.

It is sequin all down the middle (front and back) with beautiful side panel detail of beading, embroidery and sequins on both sides. Includes a matching sequin and silk belt (as shown in photos). Extremely flattering on any size and is stretchy for comfort. I wore this dress all day with absolutely no trouble whatsoever and if I could wear it again, there's no way I would sell it! I hope this dress brings another bride as much joy as it brought me.

I had an extra piece of sheer material added into the back panel so I could wear an ordinary bra (photo of back provided to show it is still sheer but no bra visible - very suitable for larger busts!) and a bustle added for dancing (photo of bustle provided). Alterations are an additional $300 added to the dress. ***Bustle and back panel were completed by Karen's own Brisbane seamstress.***

Dress was drycleaned immediately after the wedding by the highly regarded Leon's Drycleaning team for $445. Dress was well looked after on the day and looks perfect after cleaning.

Original tags available as well as a KWH gown bag and Leon's long term wedding dress storage bag purchased for $50.
