The Dress

“Corolle” short bridal dress in silk organza.

The ALEXIS dress features a round neckline, ¾ sleeves and pockets on the side. The bottom of the dress is flared in a “corolle” style with horizontal tucks. Beautifully piped bands of silk organza overlay tulle and silk to give this dress a playful lift. Dress is lined with silk pongee.

Crinoline underskirt is included. Designer's photos feature the dress with underskirt, which is responsible for the dramatic lift. Made of cotton and rigid, yet flexible banding. Purchased separately.

Dress and underskirt were purchased direct from the designer's showroom in Paris in the Fall of 2022. The dress was worn for a civil ceremony at the court house. The garment has been cleaned, kept in plastic and garment bag in a temperature-controlled climate. Dress is in pristine condition.

Petticoat: Tulle – 100% polyamide
Lining: Silk pongee – 100% silk

Crinoline
Cotton – 100% cotton

Dress is French 36. Crinoline courte underskirt is XS.

Designers website specifies Fr 36 is equivalent to US 4 but check measurements provided.
Dress and crinoline are unaltered. I typically wear a US 0 (dress size) or US 2 (bridal).
Garment was a bit loose at the waist but fit well at bust (see measurements above).
The underskirt has 2 hook and eye closures and can more easily be adjusted in or out.

It was such a fun dress to wear, perfect for a flirty, chic bride !
