The Dress

Finding a wedding dress was one of the hardest parts of planning our big day, it felt like the dress really set the tone for the whole event's styling and it just had to feel "right" before I could go any further.
I searched for nearly 18 months to find "The Perfect Gown" trying on endless options in every style imaginable to the point that I almost gave up since there was nothing that screamed Me.. too slinky, too formal, too lacy, too sexy.. until I came across a picture of Taryn Camille.

As soon as I found her after hours yet again of scrolling late at night, I secretly hoped that this could be it and when I tried her on I knew it was meant to be; a classic not-too-ballgown but just enough silhouette with modern detailing in the draping and secret pockets, a killer yet demure slit that allowed movement and for some cheeky pics along with the boning and volume that was so flattering on my shape.. I'd found The Perfect Gown.

Taryn Camille is made from a silk Mikado that holds its structure and required minimal steaming of the skirt on the day, it's a mildy heavy gown but the cut fits so flawlessly that after a short while the boning warms up and I can honestly say I didn't adjust it once on the day. The split means there is the ability for air to flow around your body and the warm weather wasn't an issue on our Summer's day, there is a bustle which I didn't end up using as I changed post-dinner, the buttons at the back however were a smidge tight and needed 2 bridesmaids to assist!

I am generally a 6-8 Aus sizing with a 10C bust, 174cm tall. Worn Dec '22 for the ceremony and reception, mild wear under the train but there is no significant damage or pulling that has been found. Can be tried on in Cockatoo VIC. Listing Taryn Camille is slightly heartbreaking but another bride deserves to feel as special as I did, I've never felt more beautiful than with her on and that feeling deserves to be shared with the next bride. Alterations

Alterations were done in house at KWH Armadale by the wonderful Kim, small .5cm nips and tucks to make certain the bust fit correctly and the straps held snug to my body along with minor hem adjustments to match a 10cm heel. I believe these can be undone however if required and would recommend taking it back to the boutique as the ladies there knew exactly how to handle the gown to ensure it sat perfectly.
