The Dress

This amazing gown is a custom Steven Khalil couture creation which was worn on 21st November 2015.

The dress is a fitted mermaid shape with a boned corset and low V back. It is made up of two types of lace. It includes a soft floral French Chantilly underlay which covers the entire dress. The second lace is beaded and forms a shimmery pattern on top of the Chantilly. The beads are ivory and sparkly, which makes the dress come to life when sunlight hits it, even more so in the evening.

The gown has a series of Godey’s or Panels through the bottom of the dress, which carry through to the 2.5metre train (which can be pinned up). Some panels are semitransparent while others are full. This adds a beautiful dimension while walking. The train has scalloped edging which also has the shimmery beaded lace on it.

My favourite part of the dress is the floating cap sleeves on an invisible netting. The detail on this part of the dress is amazing! It has additional hand beading with Swarovski crystals and it gives the illusion of lace floating on the skin.

This is a truly exquisite gown and I loved wearing it. I am able to send through additional photos and video’s upon request as photo’s do not do it justice!

The dress will fit a size 6 AUS or a small size 8 AUS. I am 178cm tall and wore 8.5cm heels on the day.

Please note I am only selling the gown, not the veil as I wish to keep this as a memory or pass it down a generation.
