The Dress

Anya is from Karen's LITTLE CHURCH ready-to-wear collection, KWH by Karen Willis Holmes, it is true to her signature style featuring feminine silhouettes and a whimsy elegance.

The gown has delicate spaghetti straps and dimensional all over sequin detail and bias fishtail skirt. It can be worn with or without embellished detail belt. Sequin diameters: 8mm, 6mm & 5mm. The colour is Ivory and absolutely stunning.

The sizing, in my opinion, runs a little small in the bust though the dress body itself is quiet roomy and the bias cut of the embellished silk drapes beautifully across the body. I tried on the sample size 10 at Annabel’s and was able to zip it up to the base of my bra. I personally didn’t notice any difference in the fit between the size 10 and 16 except I could zip the 16 completely up, this I was told was because of the bias cut of the silk and the added weight of the sequins. It not only gives the illusion of a perfectly tailored gown, it also helps disguise all those lumps and bumps (I had quite a few putting on 12kg just before my wedding, not an ideal situation but I still felt comfortable and confident in this dress). AUS/UK size: 16 (I am normally a 12, sometime a 14 if the bust is small)

Bust: 105cm (I am 109cm)

Bra cup size: C (I am a 36EE)

Waist: 85cm (I am 86cm)

Hips: 113cm (I am 110cm)

Back Neck to waist: 42.5cm

Waist to Hem on long gowns: 115

I bought Anya from Annabel’s Bridal in Kingston, ACT a registered KWH stockist. The dress has been preserved and boxed by Annabel’s Bridal and comes with the original white KWH gown bag and hanger.
