  • The dress and jacket were professionally altered by TailorMaid in San Francisco, CA to my measurements:
  • 32.5” bust
  • 25” waist
  • 36.5” hips
  • The dress was hemmed to accommodate my 5’3” height and the Birman's Clarita Block 90 shoe I wore which had a 3.5” heel height
  • So, my overall height with shoes was 5' 6-1/2"
  • Soft cups were added to the bust, but can easily be removed
  • And a couple of the stays in the corset were reinforced/doubled up for better support and a smoother fit, but is unnoticeable to the eye
  • Three loops and buttons (not visible) were added to the dress for bustling after the ceremony

The Fleur de Lis gown is from Monique’s Iconic Designs collection: An extraordinary collection of heirloom designs that highlight the understated regality, tradition, and heritage of the Monique Lhuillier brand.

The Fleur de Lis gown is a stunning lightweight French lace ball gown with dropped waist which is exceptionally flattering. Modern, extremely classic and sophisticated. Chapel length train and veil are absolutely stunning and the perfect length. The jacket has pearl buttons on the back and on the cuffs - so beautiful! I wore the jacket for the ceremony and photos and removed it for our first dance. I loved that I had a different look for our first dance! This dress is breathtaking and I felt like royalty!

The dress, jacket and veil were ordered April 2023, received the end of August 2023 and our wedding was September 2023.

All pieces have undergone a museum quality hand cleaning by Elegance Preserved in Los Angeles (cost $955) and have been untouched since their cleaning. Packaging of the dress for shipping will be done by Elegance Preserved.

CONDITION:

The lace of the dress has no noticeable flaws or issues.
**The 4 layers of tulle have a few holes and heel holes, which is to be expected in all dresses with tulle underskirts. One of the layers has a tear approximately 1-1/2’ off the edge of the hem that goes about 1/2 around the layer. This layer can either be repaired, replaced or completely removed since there are 4 layers. I never would have known if cleaners hadn’t pointed out. These are the underskirts and there are 5 total layers and the flaws don’t affect the dress or how it wears.

The jacket and veil have no noticeable flaws or issues.

The dress and jacket are both Monique Lhuillier size 4, however, I typically wear a size 0 and sometimes a 2.

I am 5’3” and wore Birman's Clarita Block 90 shoe which has a 3.5” heel height. So, my overall height with shoes was actually 5' 6-1/2"
