“The platform is a fantastic idea but the execution is pretty difficult to navigate. It might just have been my experience but buying internationally from the US to the UK cost me much much muchmore than I was expecting. Not including shipping calculators really leaves the buyer at the mercy of the seller. My seller was amazing but we struggled with the shipping. She had to go to three different groups to try and get a reasonable quote. It ended up costing 3x what I’d budgeted and the import taxes I’d calculated online were less than half of what UPS charged me to release the package. Weeks later and the seller and I are still working to to settle the discrepancy in the shipping charges. She is a saint and I’m lucky she’s so honest. She could have just pocketed the additional money but she is looking at how to return it to me.”
