Alterations

  • Added cups to bodice for support, took in the bodice for a snug fit, shortened the hemline with a raw cut, and added tulle bracelets sewn into the skirt as a bustle that are easily removable
  • I wore the bodice lined, but the liner is removable if you prefer the sheer look (I added a photo for reference)
  • The tulle skirt features a raw hem, so it’s easily cut to adjust to any height or to remove the train entirely if you prefer

About the Dress

This stunning Monique Lhuillier gown was an absolute DREAM to wear on my wedding in July 2024. It’s surprisingly light weight, comfortable and easy to move in. The ballgown features a French lace corset with boning that accentuates the waist while the ivory tulle skirt provides an enchanting train that moves beautifully as you walk. It was such a fun dress to wear and made me feel so incredibly beautiful!

This gown holds so many beautiful memories, and I hope to pass it on to another bride who dreams of her perfect day in a dress that looks and feels like magic!

I wore the gown for photos and ceremony before I changed into another dress for reception and dancing.

There are 3 tears in the under-layers of the tulle skirt I had repaired, along with some micro tears along the hemline. These are almost entirely unnoticeable as the top layers of the skirt completely cover the flaws.
