The Dress

This stunning wedding dress is designed and hand made in Australia.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wendy Makin at Fashions by Farina in Sydney. After trying on two dresses from her new line (2015) I fell in love with the gorgeous lace top and low back of the Allegra dress and the light sweeping skirt of the Lexi dress. Luckily Wendy agreed to make me a custom-made, one of kind dress combining the two designs.

The unique lacework and beading on the bodice are beautifully delicate and catch the light so perfectly. The back of this dress is a stand out and unique.

I received outstanding compliments on this dress. It saddens me to sell it, but it’s too beautiful to sit in my cupboard.

My Measurements: Height: 5'8 (173cm) - I wore small heels with this dress, so for most people there will be plenty of hem to work with.

Size: I’m generally a size AU 8-10. This dress was custom made to a size 10 roughly and taken in around the chest and waist to an 8. You won't wear a bra with this dress because of the sheer back (it has built in bust support). The dress is fastened at the back with a zip and covered buttons. The dress holds everything in where it’s supposed to be and I felt very comfortable all day in this dress. The skirt can be hooked up at the back for when you do not want the train out.

The dress is very light and so great for a summer wedding. The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned.
