This stunning Eddy K Couture lace and sequin beaded A-line ballgown is an absolute showstopper. My husband and I eloped in Hawaii — just the two of us — so it was only worn for about two hours: a private ceremony, 30 minutes of photos, and dinner. We didn’t have a reception, so I wasn’t dancing around in it or anything.

I paid over $3,000 for the gown, plus more than $1,500 in alterations. If you’re a short girly like me [removed], you already know the story of your life is having to get everything hemmed. And if you’ve ever wanted a ballgown, you know how tough it is — you either have to settle for a limited selection of petite designers, or budget extra for pricey alterations.

This gown had all the lace along the bottom removed, the hem shortened, and then the lace meticulously reapplied — pretty impressive work!

To make a long story long: this dress is too gorgeous and in too great a condition not to get a second chance to make someone else’s special day as magical as she made mine.
