Alterations

  • The dress was professionally tailored to better fit my body while preserving the original silhouette
  • Three small transparent buttons were added to the back (around the lower back/waist area) to allow the train to be gently hooked up
  • These buttons are barely visible and can only be seen if you look at them up close — as shown in the pictures, they are not noticeable from a normal viewing distance
  • Additionally, hidden interior buttons and loops were sewn inside the gown to create a bustle option, allowing the train to be lifted and worn shorter after the ceremony
  • These interior attachments are completely invisible when the train is down
  • Perfecf for dancing and moving comfortably during the reception
  • This step is totally optional; I wore the full train down for the ceremony (as shown in the first pictures) and only used the bustle for the reception
