About the Dress

I was torn between structured ballgowns and fluid silk dresses while wedding dress shopping and found the best of both in the Luna by Katherine Tash. The strapless, draped bodice and A-line silhouette is classic and elegant, while the liquid silk organza fabric feels modern and ethereal. It is a very soft blush colour that changed slightly depending on the lighting (you could also play up the pink tones with a blush veil, pink florals, etc.). The dress flowed and caught light beautifully -- I truly felt luminous and it was also incredibly light and comfortable to wear.

I ordered the dress in a split size (bust - 4, waist - 8, hips - 10). My seamstress took a bit of fabric off the train to make a neck scarf that I wore during the reception (see 4th photo), which I'm happy to include with the dress (I had inquired with the designer about a neck scarf and was quoted $1400 (!)). Otherwise the alterations were minimal - just hemming, adding a bustle under the skirt (so no visible button on the back of the dress), and a wrist strap for the train.

Dress was received in February 2025, used in late April 2025, dry cleaned and is in great condition. Happy to send more photos and videos or for you to try on if you are in Vancouver.
