This elegant Regal Satin wedding gown with a sweep train offers classic romance accented with lace detailing on the sweetheart neckline and cap illusion sleeves to frame your face, while the asymmetrical ruching throughout slims your figure. This dress has been worn on two occasions, once on my wedding day, and once at a wedding celebration party in the UK about 6 months later. It was dry cleaned after both events.

The dress is in excellent condition, with just some very minor, and virtually unnoticeable, fraying at the hem. Please note the ruching detail is very fragile, held up by just two stiches for each ruche. When I wore the dress for the second time, I had to engage a dressmaker to re-stich one or two of the ruches, and iron the dress for me to keep them flat and in place. I would expect that the buyer would want to do the same. This cost me just £20 in the UK, and I wouldn't expect it to cost more than $50 here in NZ.

I am a pear-shaped size 12, with a modest bust, and this dress fitted me perfectly. The only alterations made were to shorten the sleeves slightly. I am tall (1.73m) so I wouldn't expect the shortening of the sleeves to make the dress unwearable for many people. The dress was super-flattering, and looks very elegant and sophisticated. Please note that there is no scope to lengthen the dress (i.e. there is no surplus material at the hem). As I said, I'm quite tall, so I wouldn't expect this to be a problem for many people. I wore 2.5cm high heels, and the dress sat just off the floor.

The dress was bought new for $1,850 from Wilkins Bridal in Christchurch in May 2015.
