This Oscar de la Renta ballgown (RRP US 19,990) and veil (USD6,990) from the Spring 2025 Collection are very special pieces. Countless hours were spent creating the incredible 3D applique peony flowers which are meticulously threaded onto delicate wire enabling them to be moulded to sit in various directions. The veil is a long cathedral veil with blusher. The appliqued peony flowers are sewn onto the fine tulle and almost look like they are floating in space. We got some great photos by by lifting the veil into the air and letting it float down.

The strapless, curve neckline beautifully highlights the shape of the peony flowers over the décolletage.
The floor-length design glides as you move. It felt very regal. The dress is both modern (and a little edgy) yet absolutely timeless. Our guests had said they have never seen anything like it before!

The original dress size is US6, but I had it sized down to a AU8. It involved taking the dress in at the rear zipper. No fabric has been cut as part of the alteration and the dressmaker has indicated that it may be restored to its original size. The hem length is original.

The dress was worn during the cermony, after ceremony photos and to enter the reception only so it is in excellent condition and has been dry cleaned by an expert bridal drycleaner.
