I am selling my exquisite designer gown from world-renowned wedding dress designer Ian Stuart’s “Revolution Rocks” collection.
Inspired by the romanticism of French fashion in the 1700s, ‘Libertine’ is a Marie Antoinette-style strapless ball gown crafted in French grey and white pinstripe taffeta, with a bubble hem, corset lace-up back and pretty flower detail bustle.
It is a gorgeous, unique and flattering fairytale of a dress that guarantees drama and femininity. And with its custom-made corset-style backing, it is size adjustable, so any weight fluctuations pre-wedding won’t mean last minute adjustments!
Bought as size 12 (UK) and beautifully converted button up back to corset style. Wore on the day as a size 16 (UK) - so it scales up and down very easily.
New the dress was worth approximately R42,000. It has been worn once, perfectly dry-cleaned after the big day and now hangs in its original Ian Stuart dress bag to keep it protected.
