Hello! Thank you for looking at my unworn wedding dress.

The details: This is an Oleg Cassini 2018 tea length wedding dress. Four built-in layers in the skirt (see Photo 6 I believe) gives body and movement to a charming a-line dress. The back is zipper, with a button overlay that goes the length of the dress. I am 5'3" and this hit just above my ankles, so for a non-petite frame this will hit at your shins. I was a 36C cup and was nervous about the strapless element of the dress (I didn't want the gauze overlay to look like it was doing heavy lifting), but with a corset-style bra the built-in cups (photo 7) fit perfectly. I can't emphasize how lovely the tighter top to flowing skirt really moves well. In the fitting room, it felt like being hugged in the best way and it was flattering for my wider hips (approx 40in at the time). Plus there is a lovely lace overlay on the whole dress that felt classic and traditional without being dowdy. I had the arm holes modified to accommodate my slightly beefier upper arms - the seamstress removed the gauze around the lace so that it lies more like applique. She also removed the store tag, which at the time made sense...

The story: I bought this dress in 2018 with the intention of getting married in 2020. I still got married, but the wedding ceremony didn't happen due to COVID and my work (I jump countries every two years). I've carried this gorgeous dress with me for years, still in it's shop bag, but my body shape has changed and it's time to let the dress go. As I unpacked this dress, my husband stopped dead in his tracks and said "I"m so sorry I didn't get to see you in it." C'est la vie! I hope it brings you as much excitement as it brought me.
