The Vanessa dress is one of Sassi Holford’s ‘signature’ dresses. Very chic, striking and flattering. Still on the website.

Website description… Like all Sassi Holford wedding dresses, Vanessa has perfectly clean-cut lines, but its point of difference is the architectural structure that is striking, especially the waist-defining belt. A perfect choice for minimalist brides, it’s beautifully cut from luxuriously soft Mikado. It fits like a glove through the body before flaring out to a sweeping 3/4 circle skirt.

This dress was bought from Sassi Holford’s Kensington shop. I wore it for the church and reception part of our wedding. I changed into a different dress for the party, so it is still in good condition (with a few marks as expected).

The dress has had next to no alterations. Marginally taken up at the hem. I am tall and wore heels so would still be suitable for a tall bride, or leaves lots of material and scope for a smaller bride to have alterations of her own.

I am usually a size 8 (top and bottom), sometimes a 6 on top. I have quite a long body (and shorter bride would easily have the straps shortened).

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in the original bag. I have further photos and videos on request.

The dress is available for trying on - I live very close the West Ealing Station (on Elizabeth line).
