The Dress

This gorgeous Monique Lhuillier lace and silk tulle gown is from the Spring 2015 New York collection (style number BL 1516). It was made in early 2016 and worn once to my indoor wedding in October 2016. This gown was made in white with white silk tulle overlay. (The gown originally comes in a latte colour with white silk tulle overlay, see picture 8).

Purchased from David Jones in Sydney and made in New York. The alterations specialist for David Jones, "Sew Special alterations" made a bustle for the dress (see picture 7) and took it up about one inch. I am 167 cm tall and wore 10 cm heels and the length was perfect- therefore dress height is 177 cm or 5'8". I preferred the dress to be less puffy at the bottom, so the alterations lady unpicked one layer of the tulle underskirt which I kept. This can be VERY easily stitched back in if you prefer a larger skirt.

The dress was immediately dry-cleaned after the wedding and is in perfect condition. There are no stains, tears or pulls. The dress has been professionally stored in a box by the dry cleaner. (Note: The photo of the hem line, the photo hanging up on the curtain and the photo of the close up of the bust are taken AFTER the wedding, showing the current beautiful condition of the dress).

I also wore a white waist length (80 cm) cascading veil from Wedding Veils Australia (the "Chiara") which i will include for free with the dress :)

The dress looks amazing in all the photos and the lace detail is just stunning.
