Bought this at an Oscar de la Renta sample sale in New York in 2025, I later changed my mind and never wore or tailored this dress, so it's still in its original sample condition. No visible blemishes or stains. Never worn outside.
The silk taffeta is so beautiful in person. It has this luminescent, almost pearl-like quality, catches light beautifully, but it's surprisingly lightweight. Not the stiff, heavy taffeta you might expect.
The dress label size is 10. I'm usually a size US 2/4. It has plenty of room to be taken in when I tried it on. I can definitely see this dress being tailored for anyone from size 0 to 10. You can see in the 4th photo how it looks on me with pins. The dress is completely untouched, so your tailor starts with a blank slate.
