Galia Lahav, Opera

This stunning Galia Lahav Opera wedding dress is the embodiment of romance. This was the first dress I tried on, and despite weeks of hunting for a cheaper alternative, I caved because nothing made me look or feel like this dress did.

The dress is a bit see-through without being too scandalous in my opinion. She has a dramatic long train which converts into a bustle, so perfect for any bride who dreams of a fairytale wedding. The veil is the cherry on top - even the makeup artist started to cry when we got to putting this on my head on the morning of the wedding!

This dress is in excellent condition, having been professionally cleaned and carefully preserved right after my special day - she’s actually still with the cleaner as I write, and to be picked up once I return from a mini-honeymoon, as I’m less than a week out from the wedding itself. There was no staining or issues on the day but I wanted to get her cleaned as soon as possible as I have heard nightmares from brides who waited and had their dress mildew…

Ultimately, I think she deserves another chance to shine and create even more unforgettable memories, rather than sit in my closet. I hope this dress finds a bride who will love her much as I have and wear her with pride on her own wedding day.

I’m happy to include the veil, but currently planning to keep the gloves as my own keepsake - although I’m open to being convinced otherwise… the dress was made to my measurements so pay attention to those - the interior tag does say size 38 but also states made for Shayla, and it was bought from the Galia Lahav store in London. I also have spare fabric from the dress being shortened which I am happy to include for future alterations. PS I am London based and my partner has a car so we may be able to arrange local delivery ourselves! Otherwise we can look into courier service.
