About the Dress

Selling my absolutely stunning Ivy Gown by Aston Bridal, the dress I dreamed of wearing on my wedding day.

I hesitated before purchasing it because I live in Canada and wasn't able to try it on before ordering it from Australia. After months of searching, I simply couldn't find another dress that I loved as much. I took the leap based solely on photos and reviews online, and it ended up being everything I had hoped for and more.

The Ivy gown is an elegant, heavily beaded design featuring a sophisticated high neckline adorned with beautiful 3D floral lace, a low open back, and a flowing silhouette that is both timeless and modern. Unlike many fitted gowns, it drapes beautifully through the waist and hips, making it incredibly flattering on a variety of body types.

To make the gown absolutely perfect, I invested CAD $400 in professional alterations and quality improvements by an experienced bridal seamstress. These include:

Improved coverage and reinforcement of the back zipper for improved durability.
Secured layers of the train together so they remain perfectly aligned.
Corrected a section of the side lining where additional embroidery was needed.
Added embroidery to the very front bottom hem so the dress falls perfectly straight rather than appearing tucked under.
Raised the neckline slightly with subtle lace detailing for a more elegant finish.
Added additional embroidery around the waist (front and back) to provide a little more coverage in the sheer areas while maintaining the original design.
The neckline was slightly taken in to create a closer, more elegant fit around the neck.

I wore beige lace underwear, which was completely invisible under the dress. You may see the outline of your legs in certain lighting which I loved.

I am 5 foot 6 (1/2)" and wore 3 inch heels.

The gown has been professionally cleaned immediately after my wedding and is in excellent condition, ready for its next bride.

This dress means so much to me. My hope is that it finds another bride who, like me, fell in love with this incredible Australian design. I truly hope it brings someone else as much joy as it brought me on my wedding day.
