Rue De Seine, Avril

I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it - very romantic and the layering is exquiste. It's the Rue de Seine "Avril" — dramatic all-over Cornelli lace with long lace sleeves and a low back, all over an ivory slip.

I bought it second-hand from Atelier Lavenda here on Stillwhite, and it arrived in perfect condition, freshly dry-cleaned and packaged in its garment bag. It had been worn once by its original bride before me.

Sadly, life had other plans — I became pregnant before our wedding and never ended up wearing this dress. It's been carefully stored ever since, exactly as it arrived. I'm including the original Rue de Seine box too (a little battered) and the garment bag from Atelier Lavenda. The ivory slip is wrinkled and needs to be steamed or dry cleaned before wearing. The dress is in great condition and I believe the dress has never been altered. As you can see in the close-up photo of the slip - there are some marks near the inside bottom of the dress. Atelier Lavenda informed me of this, and it didn't bother me as this is usually where second hand wedding dresses have some imperfections (from dancing, heels, dragging).
