Alterations
- We removed all the crinoline from inside the dress to get rid of that “teacup” Bridgerton appearance
- While it still has the beautiful ball gown effect it falls a bit more flat on the body like an A-line
- If you search the standard gown you can see that it comes with a bit more bubbly/ball gown shape with a ton of crinoline on the sides of the hips and above the butt
- I believe the dress feels lighter how we altered it and fits the body better
- We also added “boning” to the bustier so it could stay up
- The last photo shows the dress bustled
- My seamstress made sure to add the bustle so the train can be pinned up!
