Halfpenny London ivory wedding dress — Oliver corset & Isobella skirt

A truly special and unique Halfpenny London wedding dress, purchased directly from the Halfpenny London boutique in London.

This is the first time this combination has been put together, pairing the iconic stretch corset with the beautiful Isobella skirt from Halfpenny’s newer collection. The stretch corset is incredibly flattering while also being surprisingly comfortable, making this a dress that is easy to wear and move in throughout the day.

I also had beautiful Halfpenny French lace added to the corset and sitting just above the top, creating the effect that the flowers are almost growing naturally from the top of the dress. The lace has discreet stiffeners so the flowers beautifully hold their shape against the skin. Aside from looking incredibly pretty, it also provides a little extra coverage around the edges of the chest and underarms. This detail made the dress feel completely personal and unlike any other Halfpenny combination.

The corset has a subtle crescent-shaped curve through the neckline, which is incredibly flattering, and fastens at the back and a fabric-covered detail that almost looks like the back of a bow.

The Isobella skirt is beautifully structured through the front, with a design around the top of the skirt that is particularly flattering. It has a zip fastening and a gorgeous train which can be bustled for dancing and moving around more easily.

The fabric looks and feels absolutely beautiful and luxurious on, and the combination is incredibly flattering without feeling restrictive. I had so many compliments throughout the day about how classic and elegant the dress was. The two pieces have been sewn together for a more streamlined look and for ease of wearing.

I loved wearing this dress and am so happy for it to have another bride wear it and make it her own.
