About the Dress

I purchased this Vera Wang gown directly from Vera Wang Bridal House for my wedding in 1998. I fell in love with its simple, elegant silhouette and the beautiful crystal and beaded detailing—it felt timeless then, and it still does today. I wore it once on my wedding day and have kept it carefully stored ever since. This is Vera Wang Style 5154, a classic white duchess satin sheath gown with delicate spaghetti straps, crystal and beaded detailing along the neckline and straps, and a back slit. The duchess satin has a beautiful weight and sheen and creates an elegant, understated silhouette that feels just as relevant today as it did in the late 1990s. The gown was worn once and professionally preserved/stored. It has not been professionally cleaned recently and is being sold in its current condition. There are no visible stains on the gown. There is minor discoloration on the inside of the lowered hem, which is not visible when the dress is worn. I have kept the original Vera Wang gown order documentation and original dress bag, and both are included. Also included is the original Vera Wang Diamond White veil—a 30” blusher with a detachable chapel-length veil—which is shown in my wedding photos. The original Vera Wang veil order documentation is included as well. The gown originally retailed for $3,650, with the Vera Wang veil purchased separately. This dress has been part of my life for nearly 30 years, and I would love to see another bride give it a second life. It’s a special piece of 1990s Vera Wang bridal design for someone who loves timeless, minimalist style and the history of a true vintage designer gown.
