An absolutely stunning and iconic Vivienne Westwood silhouette. The Nova Rhea features Westwood’s signature sculpted corsetry and draping, with an incredibly flattering fitted silhouette and dramatic train. The exterior fabric is truly gorgeous in person — it has a beautiful weight and finish that photographs incredibly well and feels special.

I purchased the gown new for $7,700 and wore it once for my wedding in August 2026. It is a UK size 10 and was minimally altered. The only alterations made were approximately 1.5 inches taken off the bottom hem and the addition of a professional bustle. No other alterations were made to the original fit or construction of the gown. My measurements were approximately 32.5" bust, 27" waist and 38" hip.

The professionally added bustle is fantastic — secure, discreet and very easy to put up. It made transitioning from the ceremony to dancing incredibly simple while still allowing for the full dramatic train during the ceremony.

I truly felt like the most confident version of myself in this dress. It is unbelievably flattering, and I received so many compliments on it throughout the night. One of my favorite things about the Nova Rhea is that it makes a statement without feeling overly fussy or traditional. It would be beautiful for a very formal wedding, but is equally at home at a cocktail-attire celebration — it can really take on the personality and style of the wedding.

Following the wedding, the gown was professionally cleaned by a wedding gown specialist in LA. There is some remaining discoloration primarily along the inside/underside of the hem from normal wedding-day wear. Because of its location, it is not readily visible when the dress is being worn. The cleaner was unable to fully lift the remaining marks without risking damage to the fabric. A photo of the hem is included for full transparency.

This is an incredible opportunity to own a recently made, minimally altered Vivienne Westwood Nova Rhea at a significant savings from retail. It is such a special dress, and I would love for someone else to feel as beautiful and confident in it as I did.
