About the Dress

Look like a Grecian goddess on your wedding day! This dress was custom made to fit me by Angelo Lambrou in NYC, in 2013. I am 120 pounds, AA chest, 25" waist, 5 feet, 5 and 3/4 inches tall. I wore shoes with a 4-inch heel, and the dress just skimmed the floor. It has a zipper back; the long ties on the left hand side are purely decorative. The dress has a more substantive underskirt, with the chiffon layer on top. Both have a slit on the left side, where the ties are, so you can see leg when you walk and the dress moves. The bodice is made by crisscrossing chiffon. The threads that hold these chiffon pieces in place are firm but intentionally loose, to allow for movement and adjustment, as needed. Your tailor can tighten/loosen them as you need. I wore the dress once, and then had it professionally cleaned and put in a box, wrapped in plastic, and then in another box. It sat like that in my mother's climate-controlled home for 13 years. When I took it out, I saw some discoloration on the left side armpit. I took it to a different dry cleaner (the other had retired) to look at it. She said she believes the other cleaner had only spot-cleaned the dress, and therefore missed that spot. She said it would easily come out in a cleaning.
