Lela Rose “The Hudson” Wedding Dress — Professionally Cleaned, Like New

I wanted a lace dress that felt modern and easy to wear, and The Hudson was exactly that. The cotton lace has beautiful texture without feeling stiff or old-fashioned, especially along the softly scalloped strapless neckline. It’s fitted through the bodice and hips, with a subtle column detail down the front, then opens into a soft trumpet shape and dramatic train.

I wore it for more than 10 hours and danced for most of the night. It felt surprisingly comfortable and the American bustle held securely the whole time. It also didn’t wrinkle easily, which made packing and travel much simpler - I got married in Argentina and the dress went on a 14 hour journey with no pressing needed upon arrival!

The dress has been professionally cleaned and looks brand new. Alterations were minimal: the bust was taken in slightly and can be adjusted.

I wore it with size 9.5 Stuart Weitzman Dayna Ankle Strap Platform Block Sandals, which are also available if you’re interested. They originally cost $500 and are in good condition. I’m 171 cm tall; the shoes have a 3-inch block heel and a 0.75-inch platform. The dress length worked perfectly with them, so I didn’t need to shorten it. I wore the shoes for the full 10+ hours, danced for at least eight, and found them very comfortable.
