About the Dress

Selling my wedding dress, which was originally $1,600 and has $1,200 worth of professional alterations already done. The dress was never worn for my wedding and was only worn for fittings and alterations.

I made a very last-minute decision to switch dresses because I ultimately wanted something a little more comfortable. The issue was not with the dress itself, but with the waistline. It landed more on my rib cage rather than my natural waist. I probably should have sized up, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to make that change.

The dress has been professionally altered and includes:
-Hem (I am 5'4 and I had her hem it with 2ish inch heels on)
-Ballroom bustle (I chose the most expensive bustle option, which was part of the $1,200 alteration cost, and it looks gorgeous with the dress!)
-Additional stitching added to the petals so they don't fold over as much

When I tried the dress on at the alterations shop, the seamstress had me walk around in it with the bustle, so the bottom picked up a little dirt/dust. I'm going to do my best to gently wipe it off, and I'm happy to send videos/photos showing exactly what I'm referring to. I would recommend having it professionally cleaned and pressed anyway, especially since it will likely arrive in a box and may be wrinkled from shipping.

The dress was $1,600 + $1,200 in alterations = $2,800 invested.

At this point, I would honestly just love to get back what I spent on the alterations and hopefully find someone who fits this dress perfectly and can get a gorgeous, already-altered wedding dress at a significant discount.

I'll also include the floral veil for FREE, which originally cost around $200.

I'm happy to send additional photos, videos, measurements, or answer any questions! 🤍
