The Dress

The second after I got engaged I began to do my intensive research into THE DRESS that I would wear for my wedding day (which was in October, 2016). Galia Lahav stood out among the others - I absolutely love the style and how the brand enhances the female body, while also oozing out classiness and elegance. I of course tried on other dresses/brands as well, but my heart stopped once I tried on Suzanne by Galia Lahav...there is nothing else quite like it.

I purchased this Suzanne by Galia Lahav from Dion For Brides in Perth, Australia (the only bridal gown store that carries Galia Lahav in Western Australia). This dress is a sample size 6 (AUS), I am usually a size 6-8 (AUS) but this dress fit me perfectly (and the material does allow for a bit a stretching). I am 162.5cm tall and the height of my heels were about 10cm. This dress is sheer backless trumpet styled, beaded with French lace, metallic lace appliqu’ees, and edged asymmetric nets hemline.

The dress is boned and has a hoop installed, to keep the dress nicely in place when wearing and to help prevent all that fabric getting in the way when walking! Bra pads have also been fitted. I purchased extra Galia Lahav lace to add extra fabric to the area that coincides with my G-string - I had to add extra lace to hide my G-string...this is because I am a bit shorter and had to make adjustments to make the dress perfect! My seamstress also cut a bit of fabric off the bottom area according to my height with heels of the dress as there was a bit too much fabric previously.

The original price of the Suzanne by Galia Lahav would cost $11,520, I was lucky and got the dress at a sample sale for $4,900 (I can show the receipt as proof). The dress is in great condition, freshly dry-cleaned by professionals and is ready to be your Haute Couture dream wedding dress!
