About the Dress

From Marchesa's Spring 2017 Bridal Collection. The inspiration was a fairy-tale garden, featuring gowns with 3-D floral appliqués, dipping décolletage, and delicate lace embroidery.

I absolutely loved wearing this gown. It's really the perfect balance of elegant and sexy, and it was extremely comfortable as well. I looked at a lot of dresses before finding this one. It truly wears like a dream. It has a few underlayers of silk and lace, so the gown falls beautifully without being too heavy. The dress has a lovely train, which also has the option of being bustled. It has bust cups sewn in, so no bra is needed.

I am 5'4 and I wore 4" heels. That was just enough height for the dress to cover my shoes when I walked. My measurements are about 32-24-35. The dress does have some give so even if your measurements are an inch off from mine, you would be fine. I had the dress professionally cleaned right after the ceremony and of course I'll be sad to let it go, but the thought of someone else enjoying it is much better than just storing it away as a keepsake. I am also willing to throw in my bhldn cathedral-length veil if you're interested. And also, let me know if you'd like more photos.

The gown originally had a deeper v-neck in the front. It has been brought up just a bit. It was also brought in a couple centimeters on the sides to be more form-fitting. All alterations were expertly done. The dress is flawless :)
