CHARLEE|IVORY|SEQUIN|TRAIN

The Charlee is a beautiful ivory sequinned gown in a trumpet silhouette. With beaded detailing on shoulder and along the boat neck line, it also features a stunning cowl back. The dress is a beautiful mix of glamour and modern, perfect for the sophisticated bride who wants to show off her curves.

This dress is incredibly comfortable and beautiful to wear. The silhouette hugs to your figure, flaring gently from the thighs and falling into soft draping to the floor. There is a small elegant train at the back and the dress has been altered to include a ribbon wrist loop.

Although it is fully sequined, the gown is not too heavy and is easy to move in (room to dance was a must for me). The gown has a 100% nylon tulle outer with two layers of 100% nylon satin lining. I had the gown taken in minimally at the shoulders by Sew Right alterations as recommended by the Rachel Gilbert team, no change has been made to the length. Whilst the dress is detailed as a size 14, it would fit anyone who sits between a size 14 -16.

Wedding dress shopping scared me, but all that changed when I put on the this gown and I knew I had found perfection. The Charlee made me feel elegant and beautiful with just enough sparkle to ensure I stood out from the crowd. The epaulets on the shoulder are a wonderful detail and add a classic touch, whilst the cowl neck is a touch of old Hollywood glamour.

The gown was dry cleaned (cost $250) immediately after the wedding at Grosvernor Dry Cleaners, who did an amazing job. I have been debating whether or not to part with it since as I love it so much, it seems a shame to just hold onto it.
