About the Dress

AS NEW WEDDING DRESS - NEVER BEEN WORN

This is an as new sample of the 'Andrea' dress by Kate Halfpenny, from her Secret Garden collection. Handmade in her boutique in London using the highest quality lace and in an excellent condition.

It has a v-front and back and consists of a layer of lovely, thick floral lace, with two layers of satin underneath, which enables the dress to skim over the body and drape wonderfully. The circle skirt on this dress is flattering on everyone (I'm pear shaped and it worked very well on me) and it has a lovely puddle train. It's the sister dress of the long-sleeved 'Antonia', and has the same shape.

Please note that this dress does not come with either of the belts shown in the pictures, although these can be purchased from the Halfpenny store.

I bought it at the end of 2017 as I fell in love with the simple elegance of it. However, that was before I'd picked a venue (or indeed country) to get married in! We ended up getting married in Portugal in the summer, so I needed to get something lighter weight. This dress has therefore never been worn.

No alterations have been made, and the dress looks as good as new - I don't think it even needs to be dry cleaned. It's very long, so will need to be taken up for all but the tallest brides, and for awareness if I had worn it I was considering lowering the back by a couple of inches to make it a little more dramatic - but it's also lovely as it is.

This is a Halfpenny Size 2, which is the equivalent to a UK10, although I would suggest the top half is between an 8 and 10. Approx. measurements:

- Bust: 35 inches/90 cm
- Waist: 28.5 inches/72 cm
- Hips: Free
- Length from waist to front of dress: 52 inches/132 cm (n.b. there is also a train at the back).

The dress could definitely be taken in to fit a smaller size, and I imagine it can be taken out a bit too.

Price includes Paypal charges but not postage. If anyone is buying from London I can drop the dress off in central London to avoid postage costs. Will post worldwide. Happy for serious buyers to come and view/try on the dress.
