Breathtaking satin dress (comprising 100% luxury silk) by Suzanne Neville, bought at the end of 2011 and worn once for my wedding this July. It has a beautiful fishtail and strong boning in the bodice that gives you amazing posture and an even more amazing hourglass figure! It's fastened by a row of close-knit buttons - a classic touch that often features in Suzanne Neville dresses - that run from about halfway up the dress, which hold everything together so perfectly that there is no need for a zip.

The dress is excellent condition. It has been professionally cleaned and there are no marks or stains, plus there were only minor alterations made to it. I am smaller-chested and bigger-bummed so I added padded bra cups to the bodice (loosely attached and sewn on the surface of the fabric, so can be removed with two simple snips) and the lining has been let out around the hips so that the seams of the lining and the seams of the dress line up when it is worn. The length didn't need adjusting and was perfect for my 5'6 height, but would be long enough for someone slightly taller and of course could be shortened for someone shorter. The straps can currently be worn over the top of the shoulders or lower down on the arms, depending on what you prefer.

I am also including the long veil for free with the dress (worth just under ƒš£100). It has a comb attached with a good grip and stayed on all day with no re-adjustments required.

This dress made me feel a million dollars and drew gasps from everyone. Even my dad (who up until then was incredulous about how much I'd spent on a dress) couldn't help but say that every penny was worth it for a dress of such amazing quality! But I don't want to leave it sitting in the wardrobe for years, never to be seen again, so the time has come to pass it on to someone who will get as much enjoyment out of it as I did.
