About the Dress

I chose an Ivory organza strapless ball gown that I wore once for our small wedding in spring of 2017.

I never intended to chose a ball gown HOWEVER it reminded me of a series of Marilyn Monroe photographs of her dressed in a fluffy layered ballerina costume.

Most importantly it is easy to move around in, not heavy or hot. The color is very flattering especially if you are fair as I am. The texture is beautiful in person and in photographs. One of my fears when choosing a gown would be that it would look cheap and this is the complete opposite. So very happy with my choice and hope that you are too!

Side story, this dress was so easy to move around in that I actually stuffed myself, while in my dress, and drove my MOH and myself to the ceremony (it's a long story)haha!

I am 5'4" and wore 4 inch heals. The dress was hemmed for those measurements. I took off my shoes as soon as the ceremony was over and walked barefoot. I had no issues moving around.

Cups have been added so that wearing a strapless bra is not necessary.

There is a bustle and a Vera Wang flower accessory added to the front to make it stand out a bit more.

To personalize the gown, you can add a sweetheart neckline, add a belt with the flower, or remove the flower and just go with a belt.

My advice is to try it on at David's bridal location. If you need to make adjustments I would consider bringing it to their alteration's department as they know the dress so well.
