I absolutely adored the elegant and subtle features of this beautiful dress by Maggie Sottero; ivory lace appliques over champagne satin, the seductive low back and the soft sparkles, but for me the scalloped lace hem was what made me say "yes" to the dress.

About the dress:

* It's a fit and flare silhouette style, with minor boning up the sides to flatter any figure

* The bodice is V-neck with spaghetti straps and beaded embellishments

* The back is described as 'illusion open back' with covered buttons over a zipper closure

* The colour is ivory over light champagne, with pewter accents and is a lot softer on fairer skin types than classic white

* And my favourite part; the scalloped lace hem which looks absolutely stunning when the dress is fanned out, or trailing behind you

I loved wearing this dress to my wedding and received so many compliments on the day - it's very comfortable, moves well and flatters all the right curves. My husband and his groomsmen wore navy and my bridesmaids wore maroon / oxblood coloured dresses which worked beautifully with the tones of the dress.

Bra cups added and straps shortened - can easily be returned to original condition
Slightly take in around the sides / waist
Hem shortened slightly - I am 174cm tall and wore 5cm heels, so definitely lots of material left if you want to shorten further
