The Dress
A completely unique design by Britta Kjerkegaard of The Couture Gallery in Kensington, The Miro Gown was designed and made especially for Brides Magazine. Eight designers were asked to reinvent the pure-white bridal gown, and all gowns were for readers of Brides Magazine to win. To have this dress made by Britta Kjerkegaard would cost £4850 (based on last year’s pricing).
Described as a ‘dramatic and modern addition to a structured satin column', this is a beautiful combination of a silk-duchesse-satin column dress that flatters a slim figure, surrounded at the back and sides by layers of tulle; a perfect mix of contemporary and romantic. Handmade silk flowers trail from the bust.
A stunning and magical dress, and a complete one of a kind. I felt amazing on my wedding day and, rather than leave it hanging in a wardrobe, I wish for someone else to enjoy this beautiful dress on their big day.
The dress is a size 8, the length was fitted to my height of 5’ 4 (wearing high heels). Worn only once (other than by the model for the photo-shoot in Brides Magazine!) and professionally dry cleaned.
