Stunning, simply elegant, strapless wedding gown made for me in Perth by King St designer Celestial Tenielle in February 2010 (costing $1800.00 and worth every penny). The outer layer is made from white raw French silk; it closes with a delicate invisible style zip and has an inner bustle to ruche up the small train to the back of the knee (for dancing). The torso is a super strong corset with a heavy duty zip on the inside layer - this is the structure of the gown, it starts above the bust and ends where your pelvic bone juts out, supporting your figure perfectly. I had this adjusted several times before the day to ensure it was super tight and felt great all day! From the pelvis the inner slip layer is made from a very fine silk that is almost see through making it cool and comfortable to wear. It also has firm rim of tulle around the base hem so that the skirt sits out rather than folding in on your legs. From the highest point on the bust to the floor (at the front) the gown measures 140cm and 43cm from side to side at the waist. I was around a size 14-16 at the time but the gown can be altered to fit you. As it is strapless and unadorned you can have chiffon cap straps, lace, diamantes etc added to it. I had the gown professionally dry cleaned immediately after our wedding and it has been hanging straight in my wardrobe since.
