The Dress

I bought this dress from Brides in Love (brand: Wedding Societe) and fell in love with it in the shop. However I have changed quite a bit to it to make it perfect for me! See the alterations notes for more detail.

I wore it once on my wedding day for the ceremony and due to Covid I didnt have a reception and therefore did not wear it after the ceremony. It has been professionally dry cleaned.

I am not sure I was very accurate with my measurements but it would fit anyone size 12, 14 and 16 as it is quite flowy and not too structured. I am 5 foot 4, or 164cm tall, and I had small heels on.

The shop told me the colour is Champagne and Ivory.

I love my dress it is whimsical and unique and I hope it can make another bride happy! I'd hate for it to collect dust in my wardrobe or sit in a box!

Alterations

- Sleeves added to the dress,
- The length shortened to suits my height
- I had a thin piece of fabric and button added to the back to stop it from falling off my shoulders. You can vaguely see it in the photo in the mirror but my hair covered it on the day. Easy to remove it if its not required.
- Had the skin coloured fabric (bra) cups lowered to a more natural level as I wore no bra on the day
